Remember how cool Gumby was?
Gumby is an example of stop motion animation, and is my absolute favorite video style out there. I just adore seeing clay, candy, socks, peanuts, or whatever come to life.
Let me give you a rough idea of how much work it takes to produce one of these videos. To produce a 30-second video, I would use about 10 photos per second, meaning I’d have to take a minimum of 300 shots. 300 photos is a lot, sure, but remember that you have to move the object ever so slightly for each shot. So…take photo. Move Object. Take photo. Move object. Take photo. Move Object. You get the idea. It’s extremely time consuming, but everyone reaps the benefits in the end!
To share today, I chose one of many amazing videos from a website I visit regularly called www.eatpes.com. Enjoy.
